Your question speaks about you

After reading this blog, you will become a little more conscious and thoughtful about the way you ask questions. Your question may unknowingly disclose your personality in front of others and make you look like a dumb or an intellect. In this article I will cover types of people based on their questions.

The childish ones- You remember when you were a kid what questions did you ask your parents. The world is naive for a kid so the questions they ask are full of curiosity.  Researchers say we should encourage our kids to ask questions and try to answer them however some kids dont have parents with enough patience hence they dont get their answers in childhood. These kids when become adults, they tend to ask the same questions but in a different context. You can recognize them by a typical modulation of voice which unintentionally shows their curiosity while asking something. It is very important to satisfy the curious cat inside them at first place otherwise they can bombard you with questions.

The bossy ones- We all know when the boss ask you a question, you can't see left or right, this annoys him/her. Those who are sitting at higher positions already know what answer they will get from you however they will still ask you. Why? I will tell you, either to show you your place or to judge you based on your answer. So be very careful while framing your answers when around your boss.

The teacher ones- Teacher category is safe category because first they will teach you something and then ask you related questions. Still if you dont have an answer to their question, dont worry they will answer for themselves. They always ask very genuine, topic related questions in a subtle voice. You need to learn from every question this type of people ask.

The nosey ones- They are the most dangerous ones as they won't even let you know what exactly they want to know. However they will make you puke all the information they want from you. They talk very fast without changing their voice. In a one minute call they will ask you 15-20 questions. You go into a trance and reply all questions without blinking a lash. When they hang up, you come out of the trance and keep wondering for what this guy had called. People who gossip too much are expert in this. Only thing you can do, to avoid being a victim is, 'stay out of their view.

The confused ones- We all have atleast one person like this at our workplace. They ask you a question from topic A and suddenly jump to topic B. Problem with them is they are not good listeners. They are always confused about what to ask, whom to ask and how to ask. If you have a boss falling into this category, God bless you. They call you and ask you something which doesn't relate to your department and even if they get hold of the right person, they ask things about which they himself aren't sure. To deal with this type, be proactive.  Before they ask you something, you ask them the relevant questions to clear up what exactly they need to know.

The saint ones- This category people seldom ask any questions. The reason they have reached salvation where they already have all the replies even to what comes after death. If you have got a chance to be with them, take advantage and learn from their knowledge.

The fake ones- We all had this classmate in college, who was a average student but always used to sit in front. He would pretend listening to all the lectures and at the end he would ask teacher a really tough question from the topic in a very confident voice to impress the whole class. Most of the times this guy won't even understand words spoken by the teacher forget about the whole lecture. He is just smart enough to fool people around about his fake wisdom. It's very easy to reveal them, just ask them a simple question, they won't be able to reply.

The forgetful ones- Mostly aged people are under this type because of the memory issue however there are some young people also who make this a habit of asking each question 10 times. The only reason I find for this, they neither pay attention to what they ask nor to what you reply.  So after one sentence will ask you the same question again. To deal with them, eye contact is the key. When you are talking to them look into their eyes. If you are on phone, and if it's a delicate information they are asking for, text them.

So which category do you belong to. Hope this gives you an insight to be aware of what you ask and to whom you ask! Follow my fb page #Asksoniya where Itry to answer questions related to any matter(under my vicinity).
